AFA Action Alert!Martha Stewart magazine ad features nudityThe "female nude" is part of a great tradition in the arts, specifically photography. - Dooney & BourkePage nine of the December 2002 edition of the Martha Stewart Living magazine features an ad for Dooney & Bourke, an upscale clothing retailer. The full-page ad shows two nude girls, with one wearing only a backpack.Dooney & Bourke say the girls are over 18, and defends it as "a great tradition in the arts," but American Family Association Chairman Don Wildmon says the photo is clearly an attempt to make the girls look much younger. "These girls look no older than 14, at best. Martha Stewart should be embarrassed by allowing such ads in her magazine, and Dooney & Bourke should be ashamed at making naked women to look like little girls."
