AFA Action Alert!Big Brothers/Big Sisters policy reflected in child rapes"We know of two families whose lives have been turned upside down by a program funded by UPS and Verizon. I suspect there are more and will continue to be more as long as BBBSA allows homosexuals to spend time with little boys and girls." - Don Wildmon, AFA ChairmanThis week, a Philadelphia television station reports a homosexual "Big Brother" sexually abused an 11-year-old boy. This tragedy follows an October report in which a homosexual "Big Brother" raped a 12-year-old boy in Newark, Ohio."I think this is a clear indication to why the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America BBBSA organization should immediately rescind their July decision to allow homosexuals to mentor young children," said Don Wildmon, chairman of American Family Association. "We warned BBBSA of the consequences of their actions, and now two little boys have paid the price." Wildmon said when the policy was forced on local BBBSA affiliates, he contacted the corporate sponsors and asked them to withhold funding to help send a message that the children's best interest should take priority over a homosexually driven agenda. He noted letters from companies Verizon Communications and United Parcel Service (UPS), defending the policy, and assuring that BBBSA had precautions to prevent child abuse. "We know of two families whose lives have been turned upside down by a program funded by UPS and Verizon," said Wildmon. "I suspect there are more and will continue to be more victims as long as BBBSA allows homosexuals to spend time with little boys and girls." Wildmon hopes people will once again appeal to Big Brothers/Big Sisters to prohibit homosexuals from serving as mentors.
